²³ One of His disciples, the one Jesus loved,^(A) was reclining close beside Jesus.^[a]

²⁶ When Jesus saw His mother and the disciple He loved^(A) standing there, He said to His mother, “Woman, here is your son.”

⁸ The other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, then entered the tomb, saw, and believed.

²² “If I want him to remain until I come,”^(A) Jesus answered, “what is that to you? As for you, follow Me.”
